Update from Ghana

The medical equipment has arrived!

We are happy to provide you with another update on our project to provide Kasoa Polyclinic with medical equipment and supplies! Thanks to your support and our joint commitment, we have been able to make the next significant step forward: The first shipment of medical equipment and supplies has safely reached Ghana!

On 06 October 2024, our ship with the medical equipment, including a defibrillator, an incubator and a ventilator, successfully arrived in the port of Accra. Special thanks go to Ebenezer, an employee of Wayers GmbH, who gave us great support on site. He received the cargo at the harbour and brought it safely to Wayers Haus (in Weija, Ghana), where it is now being temporarily stored. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Wayers GmbH once again for their generous support and storage!

The next step is now to hand over the medical equipment to Kasoa Polyclinic. We are already in close contact with Wayers GmbH and are waiting for confirmation of the exact handover date. The plan is to carry out the handover in December 2024, when Jessica will be there in person.

In addition to the Kasoa Polyclinic, we would also like to support other clinics in the region in the future. Our aim is to gain a better local overview of the needs of the various facilities so that we can organise targeted donations and provide the urgently needed equipment and materials.

Kasoa Polyclinic is currently still looking for the following specific devices:

  • A gynaecological examination light
  • A vein finder

If you or someone in your network has the opportunity to support us in procuring this equipment, we would be infinitely grateful! Every donation - whether financial or material - helps us to further improve medical care in Ghana.

Thank you very much for your support!
