First Aid Courses with William: Fundraising for the Kasoa Polyclinic

We are excited to share a fantastic initiative currently being led by William, one of our board members. William is offering First Aid courses specifically designed for medical students, and he's doing so on a voluntary basis! Through these courses, he aims to raise funds to further support the work of Akwaaba e.V. At the same time, he integrates our mission of bringing medical aid and education into focus.

Our founder Jessica was a guest on Radio Oldenburg Eins on August 29, 2024, where she shared her experiences from her stay in Ghana. During a medical internship, she traveled to Accra to gain first-hand medical insights. In the broadcast, she discussed her experiences and the many aspects that shaped her time in Ghana.

We are happy to provide you with another update on our project to provide Kasoa Polyclinic with medical equipment and supplies! Thanks to your support and our joint commitment, we have been able to make the next significant step forward: The first shipment of medical equipment and supplies has safely reached Ghana!

Networking meeting for junior doctors in Cloppenburg

On September 20th and 21st, an exciting networking event for young doctors took place in Cloppenburg, bringing together many medical students and young doctors from the region. Through a general practice internship in Cloppenburg, Jessica made contact with the district and had the opportunity to participate in this event.
